The project IoT-LAT introduces a prototype digital twin designed to replicate educational scenarios in Art and Technology Laboratories (LAT) at the Departmental Institute of Fine Arts in Cali, Colombia. It utilizes Scrum agile development methodology to streamline its design and development process. The prototype establishes a three-layer IoT architecture, facilitating the mapping of components from the digital twin to the physical elements for simulation purposes. By utilizing this prototype, students and teachers can engage and learn about the laboratory's physical state in a digital environment, enhancing visibility and understanding of the availability and utilization of technological resources within the space.
Role: Director - Unity developer - IoT Developer - Modeler - Game developer - Researcher.
This research project focuses on the ancestral culture of Ylama in Colombia, specifically its visual language depicted in ceramic artifacts. Utilizing innovative technologies such as 3D printing, environment detection sensors, and creative programming, the Ylama culture's graphics are digitally recreated. 3D printing enables the three-dimensional materialization of these graphics, while sensors allow viewer interaction with the artworks, triggering animations and exploring the notion of erasure. Additionally, through creative programming, processes of interaction activated by viewer movement are configured, providing an immersive and reflective experience in the appreciation of art and ancestral culture.
Role: Responsible for the development of 3D printing, creative programming, and sensors.
